Cytotoxic effect of cobalt oxide–graphene oxide nanocomposites on melanoma cell line

Cobalt oxide/graphene oxide (Co3O4/GO) nanocomposites were synthesised using the co-precipitation synthesis process. The polycrystalline nature of Co3O4 nanoparticles onto GO sheets is studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern where found in with a particle size 35 nm. structural and morphological field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) EDX, distribution on nanosheets was observed. effect Raman spectrometer enhancement peaks after decoration nanosheets. It observed that ID/IG ratio D G bands increased from 1.08 (GO) to 1.11 (Co3O4/GO). In our present study, we explored potential cytotoxic effects Co3O4/GO Mice melanoma cells (B16F10), MTT assay suggested nanocomposite shows significant cell viability compared i.e. 60% at 200 µg/mL whereas it only 37% for indicating improved anti-cancerous activity this concentration. This first time tested its results suggest can be used as an alternative source tumour or cancer treatment.
